International Accountant Job # 062-14
Job Purpose: To provide financial accounting support to the company and its foreign subsidiaries.
Key Results Area:
- Review weekly reports submitted by the local accountants at foreign subsidiaries, with attention to cash activity and AR collection efforts.
- Compiling and analyzing the monthly international financial reports submitted by the foreign subsidiaries.
- Review and prepare intercompany invoices to ensure proper accounting of intercompany transactions.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts and confirm details with local accountants on a monthly basis.
- Assist in preparing the international annual budget.
- Assist in preparing updates to the forecasted operating results.
- Work with other members of the international and corporate accounting team to ensure accuracy and to understand international financial results.
- Assist with controls testing in connection with the Company’s Sarbanes-Oxley project.
- Special projects, as assigned, and assist the International Controller, where necessary.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 2-3 years of public accounting experience, highly preferred
- 2-3 years of US GAAP accounting experience.
- Familiar with financial statements and the general ledger, required.
- Experience with SyteLine ERP, Expandable (ESI) ERP, or FrX is preferred, but not required.
- Interpersonal skills to interface with diverse business practices and cultures.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, foreign language skill a plus.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Must be a team player and eager to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
